Mike and Mary Jo Riter are the founding and senior pastors of Country Church. They have a long history of serving the local church in many areas over nearly 30 years. They have been actively serving in music ministry since 1997, and have also assisted with youth ministry and other areas of local church ministry.
The call to pastor is not a new thing, as they have been feeling the Lord was preparing them to pastor for many years. In November of 2024, they felt the Lord impressing on them that the time is now, and after a period of fasting and prayer, they officially launched Country Church in their home on April 25th, 2025. Their goal as pastors is to make strong disciples who demonstrate the fruit of the spirit and walk in compassion and love, along with the authority, anointing, gifts of the spirit, and demonstration of God's power that scripture says is available to us.
They have lived on their acreage north of Canton, SD for over 15 years, and share it with their 2 horses, Jasper and Briella Grace, along with their outdoor cats.

Jon and Correena Obenauer serve as the children's and youth leaders at Country Church. Being fully convinced that every child is a gift from the Lord, they are committed to finding the individualized approaches necessary for them to encounter their blooming identity and the Creator of it.

Their hearts for young people are evident from spearheading ministry at the Juvenile Detention Center almost three years ago, to being licensed foster parents.
